HOW IT ALL STARTED
February-March 2012 - The Shelters
After studying Sasquatch/Bigfoot history,
evidence, audio recordings of
vocalizations, folklore, and media for
over 2 years, it just so happened that a
woman I had fallen for suspected a
Sasquatch presence in her area. But that
was just the beginning...There were UFOs,
strange beings, and strange lights in the
area as well. I began to consider the
possibility that Sasquatch actually might
exist in the area when Willow showed me a
photograph of what appeared to be a
wilderness shelter...Having some training
in wilderness survival I had to say that
this was the "rocket science" version of
the shelter I had been taught to build.
The shelter was built with lowered
extremities to keep heat in for the head
and feet. The leaves and grasses used for
insulation were interwoven with a kind of
dexterity with natural materials which is
unheard of. I wondered if anyone practiced
wilderness survival skills out in the
Ozark Mountains of the U.S.A., but that
turned out to be a redundant
theory...Folks out there consider
THEMSELVES the wilderness. They certainly
don't need to be practicin' anythin'. I was
played Brad Paisley's "I'm Gonna Miss Her"
when describing the men of this remote
Ozarks community, a tale of choosing fishing over a woman. An easy answer to
explain the shelter was not forthcoming.
Had there been Sasquatch reports in the
area? YES. Did I think I'd ever see one?
No! What I got was way more than I
bargained for, to say the least. But wait.
There is more! Willow and I discovered
more shelters together, but of a different
nature : these were massive uprooted
trees! These giant trees were not dead or
rotten, there was no evidence of violent
weather at the time, and no signs of human
intervention in the felling of these
trees. Upon examining the soil beside the
uprooted trees, we found impressions in
the shape of large human-like bodies. The
soil was moist but dense, perfect for
making an impression.
I had stayed in the Ozarks almost two
weeks before I began noticing these
uprooted trees/shelters and perhaps even
more stunning, wood structures, designs,
and manual tree-breaks. Soon footprints
were found, but the constant was always :
anomalous vocalizations. You will notice
my excitement, however, when finding the
wood structures! (below)
Below are my notes on some of the wood structures and tree breaks .
More of a constant actually was the
crossing of two sticks, branches, or trees
(!) into an "X" formation. These were
simply dotted about the landscape! Another
interesting wood formation was on the
ground, fairly claw-shredded 1 ft. slabs
of cellulose arranged in a line, leading
away from the treeline and lake. A
navigational reminder as to where to flee
if visited upon by humanity? This
formation did point to the optimum escape
route, along the lake shore through a few
trees and behind a few residents tucked
safely away in their homes.
From the same area, here is a footprint study. This print's previous step was also found later but unfortunately was not photographed.
A more recent print was found elsewhere but the photo did not turn out well. In mud, as you can see, and perhaps 3 months old, when I first saw it. A week or so after I first saw it, the photo was taken. Therefore, add about 10 days to the first witnessing of the print. As the seasons progressed into mid-March of 2012, the mud dried further and cracking in the mud progressed.
So, poor lighting and a poor camera, no context! I have enhanced the shot so you can see what is less obvious in the raw photograph. It helps you to see the ridge created by the foot's sesamoid bones, which join the sole to the toes. My size 13 steel-toe boot is 13.8 inches (35 cm), and the bare foot of the individual responsible for the print was, at a very conservative estimate, 2.5 inches longer than my boot, making the foot 16.3 inches long, minimum.
This photo of an uprooted tree was rejected as an inexplicably blurry photo, but has proved itself of definite intrigue. This photo has taught me so much that the implications are truly mindblowing. I finally noticed a familiar form in the photo; it appeared to be a member of The Hairy People, commonly known as Sasquatch and Bigfoot! I had identified them in a number of my other photos, and had by this time my own sightings. Willow and I never saw this Sasquatch! And yet there it was...To determine if the object, at the top right of the photo, was anomalous to its surrounding objects, I used a heat map. The figure passed the test with flying colors (no pun intended)! It was anomalous to the surrounding trees and similar objects surrounding it. I had initially thought the figure to be a log!
This photo made it clear to me why so many Sasquatch photos are blurry! This and even further incredulous implications of this photo are revealed at Mysteries Of the Hairy People + Why Sasquatch Photos Are Blurry
Another impressive wood structure I call "The Table," and it was a tall dead tree placed into the crooks of two tree stumps, forming a kind of wooden bar, or table.
Near an area in which I was later to have multiple sightings, and had already witnessed large footprints, anomalous vocalizations, and wood structures, a large tuft of hair was found. It was dark brown and grey at the ends. Whether this hair is anything unusual or not is yet to be determined. A sample can be seen below.
I had more than enough physical and circumstantial evidence after my previous trip to convince me that the Hairy People do in fact exist, but I had never seen one. This was all about to change! The first evening Willow and I spent together I was smothered by what appeared to be a massive presence of UFOs, and by the lake, we suddenly heard a loud CRACK! and the rush of leaves and branches making their descent as the tree fell swiftly to the ground...With a resounding BOOM!
The Stone Digger
Pretty soon, enough liminal/anomalous experiences had occurred that I claimed the Ozarks were "the craziest place I had ever been." On a more profound note, I also concluded that "What they told you was true is false, and what they told you was false is true."
Meanwhile, in the recent past, while I was away, Willow had been observing strange phenomena quite regularly. It started with apples and other produce put in the compost outside going missing, and this produce being moved and left in different spots. Vegetables began to be removed from Willow's garden, and then a strange thing happened : after digging the garden with her hands due to lack of a spade, Willow returned to the house through the back door, and remained in there for about 1 minute. As she exited the back door, she immediately noticed a curiously-shaped stone on the concrete beside the door. Upon examining it, Willow found that, not only was it curiously-shaped, it had been chipped away at to create indentations for a thumb and fingers to optimally grip the stone. It was the perfect digging tool! Its curved extremity was both sharp and stout, to cut and divide the soil. It was both a gift and an investment; a thank you for the food that the Hairy People were enjoying!
For the Ozarks, 2012 was a scorching summer beyond belief. The lake level went down alarmingly , crops failed, and grass was burnt to a crisp. Fortunately for me I arrived in late September, and things were beginning to finally cool off. Still, what normally would have been covered over with water was exposed, and a relatively firm mud was there, tucked into an otherwise wooded corner down the shoreline of the lake. Perfect for making footprints. I had found similar tracks all over the place, tracks apparently made by juvenile Sasquatch, but now we had a whole set of amazing prints to photograph! Though they for the most part lack context, the study "Little Bigfoot" is fascinating. The foot structure as compared to that of adult Sasquatch is notable; similarly, the 4-inch depth demonstrated a lot! Given the depth of the prints, the weight, muscle, and bone mass even in a juvenile Sasquatch must be off the chart! With help from a passing stranger (leaving prints of his own, comparing his foot to the juvenile's).
The Shaman Sender series
The "Shaman Sender" photo series proved revelatory in a number of other ways as well, the story of which will be told on Vile Views in the near future. At the point of taking this photograph, amazing events of high strangeness had just begun. Soon I would have a great variety of interactions with the Sasquatch themselves. This population in fact was another type of hairy person, with proportions and facial structures perhaps more human-like than the Sasquatch known so well in British Columbia, Canada; despite the fact they are massive and extremely tall. Their hair often grows long over their faces, fitting the reports and folklore surrounding "Momo," the name given to the Hairy Men of Missouri (an Ozarks state). Sasquatch researcher Kewaunee Lapseritis was contacted through Quantum Communication by these Hairy People, and was asked to call them the Ancient Ones. Similarly, I have been contacted and was told that their name as a people in their own language is the E-Takan-Tatanta (translated as "Men Of The Woodlands and Spirit Realms").
The Urban Wilderness
Another incredulous Sasquatch experience occurred in the outskirts of a small city! Behind a hospital parking lot, I went for a walk in a small wooded area.
In this copse, were approx. 40 foot trees wedged in between standing trees and placed almost perfectly perpendicularly....At the height of approx. 25 feet! Huge trees had been uprooted by some exceptionally powerful force, and again the surrounding trees usually remained standing and unmolested. Forming a pattern here, the area was devoid of evidence of human tree butchery, yet the largest trees in the copse were mostly uprooted. I had never seen anything like it in my life. How this was all possible was beyond me. There were 2-foot sticks wedged into the ground at a 65 degree angle. Not one such configuration, but several. I believe they were baby shelters.
The Leaf Ornament
And on the subject of children, I found an ornament made out of leaves there, solidly bound to a downward-pointing branch of a baby tree. The creator had used mud for this attachment, and bound layers of then-fresh leaves in a round, telescoping structure. Telescoping?!? It struck me that even an adept craftsperson would have trouble making such an ornament.
It also included a fluted piece of field grass, wedged in so effectively to the layers of leaves that it remained in position even after I brought the delicate artifact home. Travel caused the leaves to separate somewhat. The strand of field grass remained firmly in place, however!
The ornament also had a strand of plastic, from some plastic device of ours, threaded through the leaves.
I was astounded that there could be evidence of Sasquatch in a city. I looked ahead and observed how this forested line meandered down a wooded pathway of its own. Straight toward a substantial forest about a mile away! The Hairy People would swiftly make their way back to the deep forest! Earlier, I wondered what could possibly motivate the Hairy People to come to this urban location. As I did so, I happened to look down to the soil, and there was a deer's hoof print! They must pass through this copse like the Hairy Ones! And get eaten!
So the motivation for this journey to the city was explained. The beautiful leaf ornament was explicated to me, as a vision of a young girl came to me, a girl like the Neanderthal of prehistory. And despite this, a girl not unlike perhaps any, who loves pretty and crafty things! Her elders were busy strategizing the plan for the moment of a deer's passage through the copse. Her baby sisters and brothers were temporarily placed in the baby shelters while her elders got to work.
Children her age had to stay out of the way and so amused themselves however they could. This young girl made her beautiful leaf ornament to pass the time, which would otherwise be quite boring, or perhaps nerve-wracking, as the human city would be so cold and alien. I will always feel her heart, ever since finding her fine creation. Enjoy the pictures!
On one of our long walks to the convenience store for supplies, I noticed a large tree balanced perpendicularly on a farmer's fence. I could find no sign of it having broken and fallen from its original location, and got a sense of it actually having been carried there! It was then balanced upon the wire fence, and on the end closest to the road, has its branches shredded into bits.
I see this as a territorial statement to the farmer, who ultimately was "the new tenant in town." The tree being lobbed onto the fence is a show of power, and the branches shredded at its end is a scare tactic. In fact, Willow had ventured down the road from this property and received an inexplicable sense of fear and that she must leave the area, several months before. These kinds of sudden, bizarre fears have often been associated with Sasquatch reports. Coming up on the site, there will actually be a photo study which shows just how threatened this particular tribe must feel.
Stone Carvings Uncovered
Near the farmer's property, a public dirt road, lined by 4 houses, led down to a cove in the lake. The summer heat of 2012 had been so severe that a good portion of the shore had dried up completely! It was here that Willow had her strange experience of fear, and that I had just taken photos that, unbeknownst to me, would tell me heaps of information about the reality of the Hairy People in this area.
The miraculous thing about the dried-up lake shore was that it revealed some fascinating stone carvings - that have glyphs seen often in Sasquatch research, usually made with wood, like the "tic-tac-toe" formation. Other glyphs can be seen here which are perhaps not as common. Enhancements by Michel Petulli are last and second last in the gallery.
One evening we stood on the shore of the lake, and I heard two individuals, several hundred feet away from each other, begin swimming towards us from the other side of the lake. First of all, one might ask, who swims the entire length of a lake at night, in an area where no one is known to swim?
After about three minutes, a dark figure emerged from the water's edge. A yard light from the top of the mountain on the other side of the lake illuminated this completely black figure in the dark of night. The contours of this male figure's body displayed a sculpted muscular form that was so well-developed that I think most women would have been completely "enamoured" of him. He stood over 6 feet tall, stock-still; he struck me as an adolescent Hairy Person.
Frustrating me, a gentleman in a small recreational vehicle happened across the beach in front of us. He would scare the swimmer away! We politely said "good evening" to him and he passed by. Predictably, the swimmer had disappeared, swimming back the way he had come. His companion was also audibly swimming away back to the opposite side of the lake as well.
In a moment of pure foolishness, I ran to the edge of the lake to get a closer look at the departing swimmer, and instantly I heard a large rock land "Thud!" into the sand about 10 feet away to my right. Immediately I knew that I had offended the Hairy People and that I had better stop. That was a heavy-sounding rock! I spread my hands out in deference and said "I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." In another second I second-guessed myself, finding the incredulity of these events difficult to accept, and asked Willow if she had thrown the stone. "No..." she replied in bewilderment. She had remained oblivious to almost the entire thing.
Momentarily I heard the sound of two feet alighting on the rocks on the opposite shore of the lake, the sound of water dripping off of the individual. A few hundred feet away I heard the same thing - the second swimmer. I had just learned (although I knew better, really) what NOT to do in case of sighting a Hairy Person. Meanwhile us Humans had ruined what was in fact their ritual of swimming from the tribal area of a cave on the mountain on the other side of the lake, to the forested "social area" in the small forest on our side of the lake.
The next day I checked for footprints within the edge of the water and found them, the familiar form with the very broad heel and foot width, and about 14 inches long. I also located what was probably the rock that had been thrown on the beach.
Suggesting the completely black figure's adolescence was his shorter height and the slight miscalculation he had made in his journey, which ended up with myself observing him. I'd just had my first sighting, but at what cost to my relationship with the Hairy People? This was, after all, my goal in this regard, not to fill my book with sightings. What I was looking for was interactions.
Little did I know just how deep these interactions would be, and how incredibly strange things would get in this Ozarks land of UFO's, bizarre light formations, and the E-Takan-Tatanta themselves. This is, "How It All Started."
